MERCHANDISING STANDARDS

Provide EASY and REACHABLE access to balloons.

Keep balloons ORGANIZED and COORDINATED .

GOALS:

CARD AISLE: • MESSAGE balloons, unless holiday specific, should be merchandised in the card aisle. • Merchandise balloons to coordinate with the theme of the cards directly below the surrounding display. NOTE : Character birthday message balloons should only be merchandised near the children’s birthday card section. REGISTERS: • NON-MESSAGE balloons, especially characters, should be merchandised at the front registers. • Merchandise HOLIDAY, NEW MOVIES, TRENDS and balloons for your local SPORTS teams. NOTE: Balloons with messages, unless holiday specific, should only be merchandised in the card aisle. BAKERY: • CHARACTER balloons, message or non-message, should be merchandised near the cake book and/or cake counter, to capture add-on sales. • HOLIDAY or THEME balloons, message or non-message, should be merchandised where appropriate.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

• Freshen balloons at least once a week and be sure to keep all of your displays FULL of product. • ALWAYS use Reel Weights™ (b+B ® Item 011) and Reel Weight™ Inserts (b+B ® Item 021). • Clearly price each balloon with the correct UPC/retail sticker. • ALWAYS make sure the balloons coordinate.
